The Kingdom of Norway national flag consisting of a red field bearing a large blue cross outlined in white. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of 8 to 11.

Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 11:8. The red flag is painted with blue and white crosses on the left side. Norway was once ruled by Denmark, and the origin of the flag cross is the same as that of the Danish flag.
