Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. Dark blue flag. In the upper left corner is the British flag, which shows the traditional relationship between Australia and Britain. The big seven pointed star under the character "Mi" symbolizes the six states and federal districts that make up the Commonwealth of Australia. The five white stars on the right represent the Southern Cross, indicating that Australia is in the southern hemisphere.
