Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is composed of two equal vertical rectangles, green on the left and white on the right, with a red five pointed star and a red crescent in the center. Green symbolizes the hope of the future, white means purity and peace, red means dedication. Algeria takes Islam as its national religion, and the five pointed star and the new moon are the symbols of Muslims.
