Comoros national flag consisting of four horizontal stripes of yellow-white-red-blue and a green triangle bearing Islamic symbols—a white crescent and four white stars. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of 2 to 3.

Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 5:3. On the left side of the flag is a green triangle with a white crescent and four white stars; on the right side, from top to bottom, it is composed of four trapezoidal wide strips of yellow, white, red and blue. The new moon symbolizes that Comoros is an Islamic country. The four stars represent the four major islands that make up the Comoros: Grand Comoros, Anjouan, Mayotte (still under French rule) and moelli.
