Tanzania national flag consisting of triangles of green and blue separated by a black diagonal stripe with yellow fimbriations (narrow borders). The flag’s width-to-length ratio is 2 to 3.

Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is made up of green, yellow, black and blue. There are two symmetrical and equal right triangles of green and blue at the upper left and lower right. The black broad band with yellow edge crosses the upper right corner from the lower left corner. Green symbolizes land; yellow symbolizes rich mineral resources and wealth; black symbolizes African blacks; blue symbolizes rivers, lakes and sea areas.
