Guinea-Bissau national flag consisting of two horizontal stripes of yellow and green and, at the hoist, a vertical red stripe with a black star. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of approximately 1 to 2.

Stiory:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. On the left side of the flag is a red vertical rectangle with a black five pointed star in the middle; on the right side are two parallel and equal rectangles of upper yellow and lower green. Red symbolizes the blood of soldiers fighting for national independence; yellow symbolizes the wealth, harvest and people's hope of the country; green symbolizes agriculture; black Pentagram symbolizes the dignity, freedom and peace of African blacks.
