The Gambia national flag consisting of horizontal stripes of red, blue, and green separated by two thinner stripes of white. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of 2 to 3.
Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is composed of three parallel rectangles of red, blue and green, with a white border at the junction of blue, red and green. Red symbolizes sunshine; blue symbolizes love and loyalty as well as the Gambia River across the country; green symbolizes tolerance and agriculture; the two white edges indicate purity, peace, compliance with the law, and the Gambian people's friendly feelings towards the people of the world.
