Uganda national flag consisting of six horizontal stripes of black, yellow, and red, with a central white disk bearing a crested crane. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of 2 to 3.

Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is composed of six parallel black, yellow and red stripes. The white round wheel in the center is painted with the national bird of Uganda, the crown crane. Black stands for black; yellow stands for sunshine; red stands for freedom and brotherhood among Ugandans. The three colors indicate that the Ugandan people have gained independence and freedom.
