Flag of the Central African Republic
The Central African Republic national flag with horizontal stripes of blue, white, green, and yellow, all overlapped by a central red vertical stripe; a yellow star is in the upper hoist corner. Its width-to-length ratio is approximately 3 to 5.
Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 5:3. From top to bottom, the flag is composed of four parallel and equal wide strips of blue, white, green and yellow. The red vertical wide strip divides the flag into two equal parts. To the left of the blue wide strip is a yellow five pointed star. The colors of blue, white and red are the same as the national flag of France, representing the historical relationship between China and Africa and France, and representing the spirit of peace and sacrifice; green symbolizes forest; yellow symbolizes tropical grassland and desert. The five pointed star is a brilliant star guiding the Chinese and African people to the future.
