Dominica national flag consisting of a green field (background) bearing a cross of yellow, black, and white stripes; in the centre of the flag, a red disk bears an imperial parrot encircled by green stars. The flag has a width-to-length ratio of 1 to 2.

Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. Green flag, yellow, black, white three color cross runs through the whole flag, the center is painted with red round wheel. There are 10 yellow edged green five pointed stars and a parrot on the round surface. Green stands for banana plantations all over the island; yellow stands for lemon, orange, coconut and other planting industries; white stands for rivers, waterfalls and the purity of the people; black stands for the main ethnic groups in the area - black and black-and-white people and the land. The cross shows that the people believe in Catholicism. The red round wheel symbolizes the social development plan implemented by the country, the five pointed star represents 10 regions of the country, and the parrot is the national bird of Dominic.
