Amharic
It was originally distributed in Amhara region of Ethiopia, so it got its name. Now it is distributed in central and southern Ethiopia. About 22 million people use it. Compared with the early stage of the afrio Asiatic languages, there is little difference between the dialects of Amharic. Amharic has lost most of its guttural sounds, and the change of noun case has disappeared. There are two kinds of vowels in Verbs: complete vowels and simplified vowels. Amharic uses syllabic writing (see Amharic).
