With the cordial care of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, with the support of the state owned assets and Resources Committee of the State Council, Angang and Pangang were jointly reorganized into Angang Group Company in may2010. Angang is the first large-scale steel joint enterprise to be restored and built in New China and the earliest established steel production base, and is known as the cradle of China's steel industry and the eldest son of the steel industry of the Republic of China; Pangang is an important base and the largest third tier enterprise for comprehensive utilization of vanadium and titanium resources, supporting services for national defense and military industry. After the reorganization, Angang Group has formed a cross regional, multi-base and international development pattern, and has become a steel enterprise with perfect domestic layout and the most resource advantage. In Northeast China, three bases have been formed, namely Anshan headquarters, Bayuquan new area and Chaoyang new area; in Southwest China, there are Panzhihua, Chengdu, Jiangyou, Xichang and Chongqing production bases; in North China, Tianjin Tiantie cold rolling project has been completed and put into operation; in southeast area, Putian project in Fujian will be completed and put into operation this year. In 2010, the output of iron and steel of Angang Group Co., Ltd. exceeded 30million tons, and the operating income exceeded 150billion yuan.

Under the situation of economic globalization and resource internationalization, promoting international operation has become the strategic orientation of Angang Group to adjust its structure and change its development mode. The company acquired 36.28% of its shares twice, became the largest shareholder, jointly developed karala iron ore project, and established the first overseas raw material production and supply base. The acquisition of 60% of Italian company's stake in vegano has established the first overseas steel processing base. Stanco group, the world's largest steel trader, has set up a joint venture in Spain and established its first overseas sales joint venture. Signed an agreement with American steel development company, becoming the first steel enterprise in China to invest and build a factory in the United States.

We have strengthened joint venture with top foreign enterprises and improved the development level of multi-faceted industry through climbing with giants. Joint venture with Vesuvius UK to build refractory project, joint venture with Kodak Holdings (Europe) Co., Ltd. to build cold rolling work roll chromium plating project, joint venture with belkart company in Belgium to construct Chongqing steel curtain line project, joint venture with beckgillini company in Germany to build water treatment project, joint venture with SDO Borg Sany Co., Ltd., and construction of slag protection project with stoborg Sany company in Korea, and iron Ken company of the United States Bearing repair project jointly constructed by the company. The successful implementation of this series of joint venture projects has greatly improved the core competitiveness of the polygonal industry of Angang Group, and become a new benefit growth point.

It is always the responsibility of developing green and low-carbon economy, and constantly expand the development connotation of "clean, green and low carbon" in the steel industry. During the 11th five year plan, the energy saving of 3.19 million tons of standard coal exceeded the energy saving target of the 11th five year plan. At the meeting of energy conservation and emission reduction of the State Council held in may2010, Anshan Steel Co., Ltd. introduced its experience as the only enterprise. In 2008, Bayuquan new iron and steel new area, which led the development of the world steel industry, was built in Bohai Bay, which realized the transformation from traditional manufacturing to low-carbon green manufacturing. Relying on independent innovation, Bayuquan iron and steel new area has achieved breakthroughs in key areas and key energy conservation and environmental protection technologies, and established a comprehensive utilization system of iron resources and energy cycle, water resource cycle and solid sub biological resource. It has created a pioneer in the development and utilization of wind energy, solar energy and desalination technology by Chinese steel enterprises, and has become a "demonstration base" for steel enterprises to use clean energy.

Angang Group Company has abundant corporate culture resources, and there are outstanding characters in every historical period. For example, the old hero Mengtai, Wang Chonglun, the successor of Lei Feng spirit Guo Mingyi, etc., embody the spirit of innovation, truth seeking, struggle and dedication of several generations of Angang people, which provides a strong spiritual impetus for the development of enterprises. According to the requirements of the state owned assets and Resources Commission of the State Council for strengthening and improving its advantages, Angang Group put forward the strategic development goal of "12th Five Year Plan": by 2015, the annual output of steel will enter the top five in the world steel industry, become the iron and steel industry with the strongest, vanadium industry leading in the world, the largest titanium industry in China, and the coordinated development of multi-directional industry, and the most international competitiveness, and the super large transnational transnational type which can lead the development of the world steel industry Group.
