Sony Sony is a giant in the world spanning 3C, games, finance and entertainment. It has the world's leading brand influence. Sony was founded in May 1946. It was co founded by Inoue University, who has technology research and development background, and Akio Morita, who is good at public relations and marketing.

The company's original name was Tokyo Communication Industry Co., Ltd. when it gradually entered the internationalization, it finally decided to use Latin "Sonus" (voice), English "Sonny" or "Sonny boy" (lovely child) to form "Sonny", which means "lovely naughty child who starts with voice". Sony brand first appeared on TR55 transistor radio listed in 1955. After persuading the opposing directors, Morita and Inoue Shenda officially changed their name to Sony in January 1958. Sony's new name can't be read as a Japanese company. People think it's their own country and have a cordial feeling, which makes Sony successfully enter the U.S. and overseas markets. Sony (China) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony, was established in Beijing in October 1996 to manage and coordinate its business activities in China. It aims to engage in investment, product marketing, customer after-sales service liaison in China's domestic electronic information industry, and provide macro management and extensive business support for Sony's enterprises in China.
