Nantong Machine Tool Factory, the predecessor of Nantong Sci & Tech Investment GRP Co., Ltd. (SH: 600862), was established in 1956. Nantong Machine Tool Co., Ltd. was established in December 1988 and listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange in May 1994. In 2000, it was renamed as Nantong Zongheng International Co., Ltd. in December 2006, it was reorganized by Nantong municipal government and became a listed company controlled by state-owned assets. In February 2007, it was renamed as Nantong Science and Technology Investment Group Co., Ltd.
The headquarters of the company integrates new product R & D, marketing, manufacturing and administrative management, with an annual production capacity of 2 billion yuan for CNC machine tools. Nantong Science and technology is the key backbone enterprise of domestic production of milling machine and vertical machining center, and one of the first three export bases of machine tools in China. The main products of the group include rocker arm vertical and horizontal machining center, CNC milling machine, CNC lathe, universal milling machine, lifting table vertical and horizontal milling machine, gantry machining center, etc., with a CNC output value rate of more than 50%. CNC milling machines and machining centers ranked first and second in the industry for three consecutive years since 2004.
