Jiangsu Guotai International Group was founded in 1997 and headquartered in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor can be traced back to Shazhou foreign trade company established in 1973. Jiangsu Guotai International Group is a comprehensive enterprise group which is mainly engaged in the import and export trade of consumer goods and integrates R & D and design, production entities and financial investment. Guomao Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the group, was officially listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange on December 8, 2006 (stock name "Jiangsu Guotai", stock code "002091"). In December 2016, the major asset restructuring of the group was successfully completed. The group's core resources such as import and export trade business, Internet e-commerce business and financial investment business were fully integrated and incorporated into the listed companies, which improved the securitization rate of state-owned assets and opened up long-term growth space for future development. In May 2019, the listed company officially changed its name to Jiangsu Guotai International Group Co., Ltd.
