The company is approved by Hunan Provincial People's Government (1999) No.193 document, and is jointly sponsored by Changsha Jiuzhitang (Group) Co., Ltd., SDIC Venture Capital Co., Ltd., Hainan Xiangyuan economic and Trade Co., Ltd., Hunan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Changsha friendship (Group) Co., Ltd, A joint stock limited company established on May 12, 1999. With the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) No. (2000) 66 document on June 5, 2000, the company issued 40 million ordinary shares in RMB to the public by means of a combination of placement to investors in the secondary market and online pricing.

The company was established in May 1999 with Changsha Jiuzhitang (Group) Co., Ltd. as the main sponsor and five companies, including the United Nations investment pharmaceutical investment Co., Ltd. (now changed to the State Investment Venture Capital Co., Ltd.), as the sponsor. The capital stock of the sponsor is 88.62 million shares. In June 2000, 40 million public shares were issued and listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In August 2003, the company issued 51 million new shares. At present, the total share capital of the company has become 261849861 million shares.
