The predecessor of Lobo group company is Luoyang Glass Factory founded in 1956, which is one of 156 national key projects built during the first five year plan period. China's first float glass production line was born here in 1971. In 1981, the float glass process was named "Luoyang float glass" by China Science and Technology Commission. It is also known as the world's three major float glass processes together with Pilkington float in the UK and Pittsburgh float in the US. On July 8, 1994, the company's H-shares were listed on the stock exchange of Hong Kong. On October 31, 1995, the company's A-shares were listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. It became a company in China's building materials industry and Henan province that issued and listed H-shares overseas. On April 2, 2007, China Building Materials Corporation (CNBC), Luoyang state owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. and Lobo group company signed the state owned equity transfer agreement, and CNBC (central enterprise) became the actual controller of the company.
