Hebei Chengde Lulu Co., Ltd., formerly known as Chengde canned food factory, was founded in 1950.

In 1974, General Wang Zhen, then Minister of the Ministry of agriculture and reclamation, inspected Chengde cannery. He told the accompanying cannery leader that he had drunk almond tea at Ms. He Xiangning's home, and the rich almond flavor made him remember deeply. Could the cannery develop almond beverage by relying on apricot resources in Chengde. After the general left, the factory management decided to invest manpower and material resources to develop almond beverage. In 1975, the world's first almond dew was born in Chengde.

During the downturn of the whole canning industry, the company, guided by market demand, developed and produced almond syrup, a plant protein beverage with independent intellectual property rights, relying on the rich almond resources in the local area, which laid the foundation for Lulu to take off. In November 1997, the company was listed on Shenzhen stock exchange with the stock code of 000848, becoming the first listed company in the domestic plant protein beverage industry. All the funds raised through listing are used for technical transformation, so that the technical equipment of the enterprise can reach the international leading level. In 2006, after the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, Wanxiang Group (one of the top 500 enterprises in China) held 42.55% of the shares of the company, becoming the largest shareholder of the company.

In the previous leadership of the company, two people have won the national "May 1" labor medal, three people have won the title of labor model in Hebei Province, and many people have won provincial and industrial commendation and awards for many times.
