Guitang is located in the west of Guigang City in the southeast of Guangxi. Xijiang River is the golden waterway for the ports in Southwest China. Guangxi Guitang (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded by Guangxi Guigang sugarcane chemical plant. Its predecessor was Guangxi Guixian sugar factory, which was built and put into operation in 1956 as a unit above the quota of the first five year plan. In 1994, the joint-stock system was reformed and Guangxi Guitang (Group) Co., Ltd. was established. On November 11, 1998, Guitang stock was successfully listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
