Jiuquan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., founded in 1958, is an iron and steel complex planned and constructed during the first five year plan period. It is also the earliest and largest diversified modern enterprise group with black and non-ferrous elements in Northwest China. After more than 60 years of construction and development, Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group has initially formed a new pattern of coordinated development of steel, nonferrous metals, electric energy, equipment manufacturing, producer services and modern agriculture. The iron and steel industry has an annual production capacity of 11.05 million tons of crude steel (including 8.25 million tons of the headquarters and 2.8 million tons of Yugang); the non-ferrous industry has formed an annual production capacity of 1.7 million tons of electrolytic aluminum and 600000 tons of cast rolled aluminum sheet, ranking sixth among large domestic aluminum enterprises; the power energy industry has formed a self provided thermal power installed capacity of 3446 MW. In 2019, it will be ranked 199th among the top 500 Chinese enterprises and 85th among the top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises.
Gansu Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group Hongxing iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is a listed subsidiary controlled by Jiuquan Iron and steel group. It owns Jingtieshan mine and Xigou limestone mine. It has formed a complete set of modern production line for carbon steel and stainless steel from mining, beneficiation, sintering, coking to ironmaking, steelmaking, hot rolling and cold rolling. Its main equipment has reached the domestic advanced and northwest leading level. The main products are high-speed wire rod, high-speed bar, medium and heavy plate, hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled plate, galvanized plate, alloy coated plate of carbon steel series, and hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled sheet, medium and heavy plate of stainless steel series. Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group is the third stainless steel production enterprise in China, which has a complete set of whole process from steel-making, hot rolling to cold rolling, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of stainless steel. The steel products and production system of Jiuquan Iron and steel group have passed the certification of ISO9001 quality management system and ISO14001 environmental management system. "Jiuquan Iron and steel" brand is a national "well-known trademark". The products are mainly sold to domestic market and foreign markets such as Europe, America, Japan and South Korea. Stainless steel, carbon steel cold rolled plate and other high value-added products have entered the domestic home appliances, automobiles, electronics, solar energy, petroleum and petrochemical, nuclear power and other high-end fields.
The nonferrous industry has two electrolytic aluminum production bases in Jiayuguan and Longxi, alpat alumina production base in Jamaica and Tiancheng color aluminum deep processing base in Jiuquan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. It has built more than 240kA, 400kA and 500ka large-scale electrolytic aluminum production lines, forming an annual production capacity of 1.65 million tons of alumina, 1.7 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, 600000 tons of cast rolled aluminum sheet and 180000 tons of cold rolled aluminum sheet and strip. It is the largest aluminum smelting and processing enterprise in Gansu Province.
The power energy industry has 32 sets of self provided thermal power and residual energy recovery generating units, 85 6kV to 330kV substations, power transmission and distribution grid and corresponding power transmission facilities, providing power support for the iron and steel, nonferrous metals and other industries of the group company, and undertaking 93% of the heating supply of Jiayuguan City.
The equipment manufacturing industry covers the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of metallurgical equipment, wind power equipment, photovoltaic equipment, photothermal equipment, electrical equipment and related non-standard equipment. It has five production bases including Jiayuguan headquarters, Jiuquan Tiancheng, Jiuquan Guazhou, Lanzhou Yuzhong and Luoyang Yichuan, with an annual manufacturing and processing capacity of 170000 tons. It was listed on the "new third board" in 2017. Producer services include logistics, construction engineering technology, circular economy, refractories, financial services, real estate, tourism and hotel, medical services, education and training, etc., which are gradually formed in the 60 year development process of Jiuquan Iron and Steel Co. Among them, the logistics industry has 782 km of self provided Railway (459 km of jiace railway) and 1500 self provided railway gondola cars; the hotel industry has 6 hotels in Jiayuguan, Beijing and Shanghai, with a total of more than 1500 guest rooms.
Wine wine wine industry has 10 thousand tons of fermentation and 18 thousand tons of wine storage capacity. There are five series of more than 20 varieties, including dry wine, ice wine, liqueur, grape Baijiu and brandy. Qimu dairy company is a national dairy standardization demonstration farm. Its products include pasteurized milk, sterilized milk, prepared milk, fermented milk and milk beverage. It has an annual production capacity of 34000 tons of raw milk and has obvious competitive advantages in the regional market.
