In 1974, Embraco, located in the south of Brazil, began production. Initially supplied to Brazil's refrigerator industry, which at that time relied on imported compressors, the products were sold on five continents over the next decade. With the economic globalization in the early 1990s, Embraco began to set up production bases outside Brazil and expand global sales.

In addition to compressor series products, Embraco's factories in Brazil, Italy, China, Slovakia and Mexico also produce electrical components, castings, complete refrigeration systems for household and commercial refrigeration equipment, as well as electronic components for electrical optimization.

Founded in April 1995, Beijing enbrako snowflake Compressor Co., Ltd. is located in Beijing Tianzhu Airport Development Zone. It is the strategic pillar for enbrako group to realize its business growth in Asia and the production base for enbrako to export products to the whole Asia Pacific market.

Currently, there are about 2300 employees. The factory is equipped with the world's advanced production, research and development equipment and quality testing instruments, products and management system has passed the international certification. The R & D center has more than 70 experienced and high-quality professional and technical personnel, and has established scientific research cooperation projects with many domestic universities. It is the second largest R & D center outside the headquarters of Brazil. The R & D center strengthens the cooperation between Embraco and refrigerator manufacturers, which can respond to market demand more quickly and provide more efficient and intelligent solutions. By 2013, the factory is equipped with four modern high-end compressor production lines, with an annual capacity of 9 million compressors.
