Changzhou Toshiba Transformer Co., Ltd. is located in Changzhou City of Jiangsu Province in the Yangtze River Delta of China. The company was established in August 1995 and put into operation in May 1997. At present, the total investment has reached 65 million US dollars, of which the registered capital is 33 million US dollars. It is jointly invested by Shandong Electric Group Co., Ltd., Toshiba and Toshiba (China) Co., Ltd. The company is China's national environment-friendly enterprise, is the first joint venture company in China to develop and produce 500kV voltage grade power transformer.

The company mainly produces large power transformers and transmission and transformation switchgear components. At present, the annual production capacity of the company reaches 65gva, and the product range is 1000MVA / 1000kV or below large power transformer. As of December 2012, 1195 transformers with a capacity of 398gva have been delivered to Chinese and foreign customers. In addition, the development and production of GIS switch operating mechanism, transformer and control cabinet used in power transmission and transformation lines was officially put into operation in May 2007.
