In 1907, Mr. wenquist, a young Maintenance Engineer in Gothenburg, Sweden, was very distressed because of the frequent damage of the bearing, so he invented the self-aligning ball bearing and successfully founded SKF Bearing Company in the same year.

Today, SKF has 108 production bases around the world, sales companies in more than 130 countries, and more than 17000 distributors and stores.

About SKF (China)

SKF has a long history in China. In 1916, SKF set up a sales company in Shanghai and operated until 1951.

In 1986, SKF started its business in China again through its consignment Station in Shanghai. In 1988, SKF established a sales company in Hong Kong, named SKF China Limited. Since 1994, SKF group has set up factories in China. In order to develop in the fast-growing Chinese market, SKF (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was officially established in 1997 and later renamed as SKF (China) Co., Ltd., which is SKF's headquarters in China.
