Danfoss in China
Danfoss entered China in 1994. Up to now, Danfoss China has more than 1800 employees in factories, sales companies and representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Qingdao, Anshan and Hong Kong, actively providing good products and technical services for domestic refrigeration, heating and transmission control fields.
In May 1994, the establishment of Danfoss Hong Kong Co., Ltd. opened the prelude for Danfoss to enter China. In October of the same year, the Beijing office was established.
In 1995, Danfoss (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was officially registered in Tianjin Wuqing Development Zone and began production the following year.
On June 8, 2006, Danfoss held a celebration in Tianjin Wuqing factory for the 10th anniversary of its official entry into China. From a sales office with less than 10 employees to a large company with 2500 employees, 10 sales offices, five wholly-owned factories and one joint venture factory, Danfoss has experienced rapid growth with China's economy in more than 10 years, and will unswervingly fulfill its commitment to turn China into a "second home market".
On November 1, 2005, Danfoss acquired Haili company and changed its name to Zhejiang hailip Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. The former Haili company was founded in 2001, located in Haiyan Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang Province, 100 kilometers away from Shanghai. Hailip has obtained ISO9002 quality certification. It is one of the largest manufacturers in China's inverter market and has a mature sales network all over China. The inverter produced by hailipu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. will also be sold in China with hailipu brand and existing sales network.
On September 1, 2006, Danfoss signed a merger and acquisition agreement with Qinbao company to purchase its plate heat exchanger assets and business. Founded in 1993, Qinbao company is located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with 120 employees engaged in the development, production and sales of brazed plate heat exchangers. After the merger, the name of the new company is Danfoss Qinbao (Hangzhou) heat exchanger Co., Ltd., which will become part of Danfoss refrigeration and air conditioning department.
Danfoss acquired the remaining shares of Anshan danzhong control valve Co., Ltd. (ASDC), making it a wholly-owned company of Danfoss. ASDC mainly produces district heating control products for Chinese market. In 2003, Danfoss purchased 75% of the shares of Anshan danzhong control valve Co., Ltd. to establish a joint venture company. The agreement signed this time purchased the remaining 25% of the shares.
