Hettich was founded in 1888 in black forest, Germany, by Karl Hettich. It started as a small company producing cuckoo clock parts. In 1930, the family's successor set up a new company in Eastern Westphalia, the manufacturing center of the German furniture and kitchen cabinet industry. Since 1966, the company's headquarters moved to kirchlengern. Hittish is still a family business to this day.

Corporate history
For more than 100 years, heitish has been committed to the development and manufacture of technical products suitable for the furniture industry. Many outstanding engineering achievements and pioneering enterprise decisions have created the glorious history of heitish.
In 1888, Karl Hettich developed a special-purpose machine called Flexer, which mechanized the anchor escapement device of cuckoo clock in black forest.
In 1928, August Hettich developed the piano hinge production line, which also laid the foundation for the group's operation and development in the furniture industry.
In 1930, Paul, Auguste and Franz, the three heitish brothers, made a strategic decision to set up a new company in Herford of East Westphalia Lippe, the center of German furniture manufacturing industry at that time. At this point, Heidi poetry officially entered the furniture hardware industry.
At present, heidis is still fully controlled and managed by the heidis family（ Dr.AndreasHettich ）Taking over the overall situation of the company in 2005 marks that the operation of the company has passed down to the fourth generation of the family.
