Jiangsu Sopu (Group) Co., Ltd., referred to as "Sopu group", is located in Jiangsu Sopu chemical base in the eastern suburb of Jiangdong, a famous historical and cultural town in China, at the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. The group was founded in 1958, formerly known as Zhenjiang chemical plant.
Thorpe group now has three industrial chains of coal chemical industry, fine chemical industry and basic chemical industry. One is the coal chemical industry chain with acetic acid as the core. In 1992, we developed the low-pressure carbonylation technology to synthesize acetic acid in China, built the "921" acetic acid project, and became a coal chemical enterprise to open up the route of coal methanol acetic acid acetic acid derivatives. At present, it has a production capacity of 1.6 million tons / year of acetic acid and a supporting production capacity of 500000 tons / year of ethyl acetate. Second, the salt chemical industry chain with chlor alkali as the source has the production capacity of 120000 tons / year caustic soda, 40000 tons / year ADC foaming agent and 10000 tons / year bleaching powder concentrate, among which the quality of ADC foaming agent is among the best in China. The third is the basic chemical industry chain with sulfuric acid as the core, with a comprehensive production capacity of 1.7 million tons / year of sulphur burning sulphuric acid.
