Sichuan Minjiang water conservancy and Power Co., Ltd. is registered at xiasuqiao County, Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture, with a registered capital of RMB 504.2 million. Minjiang hydropower, formerly known as Aba Prefecture Caopu power plant, was approved by Sichuan Provincial Commission of physical and technological reform in December 1993. It was jointly launched by six enterprises, namely Aba state trust investment company, Sichuan local power development company, SIA group company, Sichuan small and medium-sized power industry development company and Chengdu Huaxi power (Group) Co., Ltd. in December of 1993.
