Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory of FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. is located in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The factory was founded in 1943, after 70 years of development, now covers an area of 670000 square meters, more than 3500 employees, total assets of 6.35 billion yuan, brand intangible assets of 10.229 billion yuan. Now it has two engine bases, engine remanufacturing base and refitting vehicle development base.

Xichai has independent R & D capability. Relying on the advantages of FAW technology center, the factory has formed an open and cooperative independent R & D mode, built "five systems" of independent R & D, such as product development process and standard system, product development process management system, and built "five technology platforms" of independent R & D, such as energy saving and environmental protection technology, electronic intelligent technology, etc., which is the basis for the diesel engine industry to master VCU, GPS, EGR and engine braking at the same time And other key core technologies, four valve diesel engine, electronically controlled common rail diesel engine and two-stage supercharged diesel engine are developed and popularized in China.

Xichai has a relatively complete product system in China. Engine products have 7 series, displacement over 2 to 13 liters, power covering 40 to 500 horsepower, with the characteristics of "fuel saving, environmental protection" and "considerate, thoughtful" service, become the power of trucks, buses and non road machinery. The product sales and service network covers the whole country, covering more than 40 countries and regions in Europe and the United States, with more than 2 million units in the market. There are five series of refitted cars with more than 200 varieties, which are exported to Australia and other countries in batches.
