As a pioneer in the field of thermal imaging technology, FLIR was founded in 1978, initially mainly engaged in infrared imaging system business of vehicle energy audit. Today, our advanced systems and components have been widely used in a variety of thermal imaging, situational awareness and security fields, including: airborne and ground surveillance, condition monitoring, navigation, entertainment, R & D, production process control, search and rescue, drug control, traffic safety and efficiency improvement, border and maritime patrol, environmental monitoring, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and electronic industries Explosive threat detection, etc.
The company structure consists of six operation departments:
Surveillance system department: it provides commercial development based, military qualified (cdmq?) product models for military agencies, law enforcement and public security departments, as well as government customers all over the world to protect border, military security and public welfare.
Test and measurement products division: responsible for the supply of FLIR and Extech brand's industrial, commercial and scientific research equipment for imaging, measuring and evaluating thermal energy, gas and other environmental factors.
OEM and emerging markets: responsible for supplying the movement and components of thermal imager used by third parties to create thermal imaging and other types of imaging systems. At the same time, the Department is also responsible for the development and production of intelligent transportation systems, handheld and thermal imaging systems installed on weapons and equipment for customers and law enforcement departments.
Maritime system department: responsible for the development and production of electronic products and imaging tools for entertainment and commercial maritime market under FLIR and raymarine brands.
Security Systems Division: responsible for the supply of thermal imager and camera systems for commercial, critical infrastructure and home security applications under FLIR and Lorex brands.
Detection system department: responsible for providing integrated platform solutions for detection, identification and removal of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats, escorting military institutions, homeland security and various commercial applications.
Forward looking infrared technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of FLIRSystems (Inc.) in China, providing sales, marketing and maintenance services to Chinese mainland and Hongkong and Macao customers.
