carbon footprint verification certificationAccording to the requirement of "completing the carbon footprint verification of two products, namely, remelted aluminum ingots and aluminum alloy rods" of Qingalco, the Equipment and Energy Department, with the cooperation of Marketing and Procurement Department, Finance Department, Quality and Material Control Center, Electrolysis Plant, Foundry Plant, Carbon Plant and Aluminum Sheet and Strip Company, recently completed the carbon footprint verification of two products, namely, remelted aluminum ingots and aluminum alloy rods, and obtained the carbon footprint verification certification in English and Chinese issued by China Quality Certification Center.
Achieving carbon peak and carbon neutral is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee, and the company has been benchmarking with the national deployment requirements, conducting in-depth research and mapping out the bottom line, and continuously deepening the energy-saving and carbon-reduction actions. In this verification, we conducted on-site research on the whole process of "cradle to gate" from raw material mining, production and transportation, product production, packaging and transportation to the client, and calculated the carbon footprint of two products, namely, remelted aluminum ingot and aluminum alloy bar, based on the life cycle evaluation method and relevant carbon footprint accounting method. With the successful passing of this work, the company's products are qualified to enter the European market.
