Founding background

State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is a large power grid enterprise in China, formerly known as "state power corporation" which includes national power grid and all power plants.

In 2000 (Gengchen year), after the power system reform marked by "separation of power plant and power grid", the power grid business such as power transmission and distribution was separated from the former State Power Corporation, and operated and operated by the State Power Corporation. Each power plant is operated and operated by five "power generation groups" (Datang, China power investment, Guodian, Huadian and Huaneng).
