In 1936, Caltex was formed by two major oil companies in the world, Chevron and Texaco. Today, Caltex has become the leading oil company in the industry, with refining facilities and offices in more than 60 countries in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Caltex's business in Hong Kong is mainly the marketing of petroleum products, including gas stations, lubricants, industrial and commercial sales and trade business, etc. In addition, Caltex has an oil depot which can store and distribute all kinds of petroleum products.

In the early 1990s, Caltex launched the "customer first" service commitment. As the name suggests, it is to fully meet the needs of customers, encourage the company to work together and make continuous efforts to ensure the full provision of high-quality products and services.

Entering the year 2000, in order to create a new mileage and get closer to customers, Caltex has established a new brand image. The quality of its products and services has been upgraded again, in order to become a truly "stop worth staying".

In 2002, Caltex made another breakthrough. With the idea of "ideal driving force" as the central idea, Caltex launched our first global advertising campaign, connecting all products and services in the world. Over the years, Caltex has been awarded several ISO9000 international quality certificates. Our outstanding achievements not only affirm Caltex's professional technology, administration and working procedures, but also show that our service has reached the internationally recognized level. The company's retail business, gas stations, oil depot operations and lubricant blending plants are all issued with ISO9002 certificates, and the quality is beyond doubt.

To ensure that our services and products meet the internationally recognized health, environmental and safety standards is the professional spirit of Caltex. We will implement this goal from the business planning, development and operation level to the management system, training, exercise and audit system. Caltex has advanced facilities in the industry to prevent pollution, minimize waste, and spare no effort to protect natural resources and ecological environment. Caltex's commitment to environmental protection has been extended to the public. In 1991, we set up the Caltex environmental protection fund. Every year, part of the proceeds from the sale of unleaded gasoline will be donated to the environmental protection fund to support green groups, schools, societies and the public to hold environmental protection activities. Since the establishment of the fund, Caltex has donated more than HK $8 million and supported more than 160 projects.

In October 2001, with the successful merger of Chevron and Texaco, Caltex became a member of the Chevron Texaco group and established its international position more stably. In order to match the name of our parent company, Chevron Texaco company was changed to Chevron company. In October 2005, Caltex Hong Kong Limited was officially changed to Chevron Hong Kong Limited.

In 2011, with the change of times, Caltex set a new brand goal. We understand that for many people, driving can be a hard job. The road is narrow and the car is stressful.
