Founded in January 2007, China Resources Gas Group is one of the strategic business units of China Resources Group. It mainly invests in urban gas business closely related to public life in mainland China, including pipeline gas, vehicle gas and gas appliance sales.

In recent years, China Resources gas has achieved great leap forward development from scratch and from weak to strong. At present, it has invested and established gas companies in more than 200 large and medium-sized cities, including Nanjing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Kunming, Jinan, Fuzhou, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Nanchang, Tianjin, Suzhou, Wuxi and Xiamen. Its business covers 22 provinces and 3 municipalities directly under the central government, with annual gas sales of more than 14 billion cubic meters and customers' satisfaction With more than 23 million households, China Resources gas has developed into a larger urban gas operator in China. At the end of October 2008, China Resources gas was successfully listed in Hong Kong, becoming the listing platform of China Resources Group's gas sector, and now listed in the Hang Seng Composite Index of Hong Kong.
