Yingli energy (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yingli China") is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested and established by Yingli Green Energy International Holding Co., Ltd. in Baoding National High tech Industrial Development Zone, Hebei Province, China, with a registered capital of US $348.21 million.

In 1998, Yingli new energy Co., Ltd. was established to undertake the high-tech project - "polysilicon solar cell and application system demonstration project" approved by the former State Planning Commission. It introduced the production line of solar wafer, cell and module with international advanced level, which filled the blank of China's non-commercial production of polysilicon solar cell. On June 8, 2007, Yingli Green Energy Holding Co., Ltd. (YGE) successfully landed on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the first photovoltaic enterprise listed on the New York Stock Exchange in Hebei Province.
