Guohua Power Company is the general name of Beijing Guohua Power Co., Ltd. and Guohua Power Branch of China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. Beijing Guohua Electric Power Co., Ltd., established in March 1999, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shenhua Group with thermal power as the main business. In February 2005, according to the asset listing plan of Shenhua Group, some assets of Beijing Guohua Electric Power Co., Ltd. were injected into the listed company, and Guohua Electric Power Branch of China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. was established.

At present, the main business scope of Guohua Power Company is: investment, development and operation management of power projects; production and sales of power generation, heating and its by-products; development, production and operation management of new energy projects; consultation of power and energy projects; development, transfer, consultation and service of energy and environmental protection technologies.

Relying on the resource advantages of Shenhua Group's integration of "coal, electricity, road, port and navigation", Guohua Power Company has built a number of thermal power units with high efficiency, high parameters and large capacity in pit mouth, port, intersection and load center according to the policy of combining "point, line and surface". The domestic assets are mainly distributed in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shaanxi, Ningxia and other cities There are 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in Henan, Hunan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi and Gansu.
