In January 1894, William H. Danfoss founded Purina and began to produce omlin, the first commercial feed for horses and mules. At that time, a mule named modpurina with a smile on his face almost became the trademark of omlin products. Our first feed product was made in two new factories in St. Louis. At that time, the feed bags were hand sewn, weighing 175 pounds, with shovels inside.
At the end of the 19th century, driven by the slogan of "Purina - the highest quality", the feed industry continued to develop, and Danfoss also completely controlled the whole company. In 1902, the company changed its name to rostone Purina, and a new trademark was born. Soon, the new trademark was quickly applied to all products and activities related to Purina.
1904 St. Louis world's Fair: rostonpriner issued free shopping bags printed with corporate trademarks during the Expo, and began to establish the image of R & D innovation products.

Dairy feed was introduced in 1935: the first dry feed used alone (without hay) to feed weaned calves.
In 1948, Danfoss funded the production of a film "customers' shoes" and asked all employees and distributors of Purina to watch it.
On Christmas Eve in 1955, after 85 years of extraordinary life, William H. Danfoss died quietly.
In the 1950s, Purina continued to grow steadily in the US market and successfully entered the European market.
In the early 1960s, Purina launched an unprecedented successful advertising campaign, in which the protagonists were a little girl and a calf. The billboards of this poster are all over the country and are used in the promotion of suckling pig feed, piglet feed and growing pigs.
In the 1960s, Purina entered the Asian market
In the 1970s, the company continued to develop and innovate, and introduced high-energy poultry feed and HIO pig feed with more fat and amino acids.
